Lowe's "Berm" Disappoints Abutters

Abutters of the proposed Lowe's in Hadley are disappointed with a berm proposed by developer Ronald G. Bronstein that is supposed to protect them from noise and traffic. The Hadley berm is to be modeled after the berm behind Lowe's Half Moon site in Albany, NY. Here are pictures of the "wonderful berm and wall and trees they put in behind the Lowes to protect a senior citizen trailer park" at Half Moon. The berm is difficult to find and certainly does nothing to obscure the view of the 160,000 s.f. Lowe's behind, nor reduce the noise from the giant trash compactor.
